DSP's Making a Difference: Regina Ros
As part of DSP Recognition Week, FADSP is pleased to recognize direct support professionals (DSPs) who are making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they serve. Regina Ros is one of those DSPs.
Regina is a fun-loving individual who always has a smile on her face and looks at the positive everyday. She has a good working relationship with her supervisors, co-workers, and most importantly the individuals she serves at PARC. Regina shares any ideas she has for outings and activities with her supervisors. PARC residents’ faces light up when they see or hear her voice.
Regina displays a positive outlook, has a resilient and resolute personality, and is an exceptional professional. Intelligent and conscientious, she requires neither motivation nor guidance to attain excellent results. She is an individual who commands the fullest respect and support of those with whom she works, and she is willing to accept any assignment regardless of scope.
Regina displays great work qualities; she is reliable, punctual, attentive, and communicates effectively with clients and co-workers. She is a team player and maintains professional conduct while at PARC. Regina helps staff when they need help and remains busy throughout her shift.
Regina is respectful; she greets staff and individuals served in a friendly manner. She encourages all individuals to be as independent as possible when completing self-help or self-care tasks. Regina also ensures clients maintain sanitary practices. She helps whenever help is needed.
Regina is particularly adept at working with others. She has a natural sincerity and frankness that shows when she is assisting individuals at PARC. She is a self-starter whose work is marked by integrity and initiative. Regina is meticulously accurate and displays a great sense of responsibility that is seen in the quality of her work.
Regina demonstrates an excellent degree of personal and professional initiative. She does not wait for instruction; instead, she analyzes her work, identifies what must be done, and does it with absolute dependability and reliability. Regina is innovative, enthusiastic, and energetic in the performance of her duties. She sets extremely high standards for herself and does not accept unprofessional or incomplete work. Regina ensures her work environment is safe and clean throughout the day. She completes her documentation daily and documents behavior and medical concerns immediately when they arise.
